Hannum Cemetery Location: At the south edge of the village of Covesville, Virginia, on the east side of Route #29 Albemarle County The cemetery is at the east end of the Covesville Presbyterian Church, between that and the old Lynchburg Road. At present it is not very well kept but is rather well located among cedar trees. The following stones and markers are to be seen. There are several other graves but they have no markers. John D. Carr Born Nove. 28, 1814 Died Sept. 1867 Mrs. Jane B. Bates Died July 24, 1847 Aged 60 Years. Mrs. Emma Ames Mother of Eli and Phebe Ames Born April 16th, 1761 In her 82nd year Mrs. Phebe Grans (or Graves) Born in Sharon, N.H. and dies in Richmond Va. August 27, 1881 In her 82nd year Eli Ames Born April 23, 1775 Died March 1eth, 1860 To the Memory of Mrs. Margaret Pinkerton (no dates) Nannie Elizabeth wife of Dr. Howes N. Coleman Born Jan. 18th 1841 Died June 16th, 1897 Mary E. Watson Died July 28, 1871 In the 60th year of her age Dr. D. E.
