All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Albemarle Co., VAGenWeb Archives, Deeds and Land Records William MOOR to John MOOR, deed of bargain & sale, 133 acres, 12 Nov 1766 [p.] 308 [margin notes] Moor to Moor This Indenture Made this twelfth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & Sixty six between William Moor of the the Parish and County of Amherst and Colony of Virginia of the One part and John Moor of S.t Annes parish in Albemarle County of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Moor in Consideration of the sum of thirty pounds Currant money to him paid in hand by the said John Moor hath Granted, Bargained, and sold, Aliened & Confirmed unto the said John Moor his heirs and Assigns one Tract of Land in the Parrish of S.t Annes and County of Albemarle aforesaid on both sides of Ballingers Creek Containing one hundred & thirty three Acres More or Less Joyning the Lands of the said John Moor & Bounded by the Lands of Benjamin Thacker Benjamin Mattox & William Creavey[?] and now in the Possession of the said John Moor with all houses, ways Easments and Advantages whatsoever to the said Land belonging or Appertaining and also all the Estate Rights Title Interest Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said William Moor of in and to the same To Have & to hold the said Land & Premises with the appurtenances unto the said John Moor his heirs & Assigns forever & the said William Moor and his heirs the said Land & Premises above Mentioned with the Appurtenances to the said John Moor & his heirs & Assigns against him the said William Moor his heirs & all Other persons will warrant &forever Defend as witness whereof the said William Moor hath hereunto set his hand & Seal the day & Year first above Written Sealed & Delivered William Moor In presence of [no witnesses given] Memorandum that on the 12.th day of Nov.r 1766 Quiet & Peaceable Possession & Seisen of the Within Mentioned Land & Premises was Given by the within Named William Moor [blot; "to" inserted] the within Named said John Moor According to the form[?] of the within written Deed Witnesses Present John Crawford William Moor Benj.n Moor [page break] [p.] 309.
