     deed of bargain & sale, 230 acres, 14 May 1767

This Indenture made this fourteenth day of May one thousand seven hundred and 
Sixty six between Benjamin Thacker of the County of Albemarle of the one part 
and William Colvard of the County of Louisa of the other part, 
Witnesseth that the s.d Benjamin Thacker in Consideration of the sum of Twenty 
three pounds Curr.t money to him in hand paid, doth give and Grant to the said 
William Colvard and his heirs one parcel of Land in the County of Albemarle, 
containing by Estimation two hundred and thirty Acres be the same more or Less 
& bounded as followeth, to wit- Beginning on bold branch a New cut line, 
thence on the s.d New line to John Moor's line, 
thence on the s.d Moor's line, to to [sic] Rob.t Harday's line 
thence thence [sic] on the s.d Harday's line Ja.s Ballamy's Line on the bold 
branch 
thence down the said branch to its first Station together with all its 
Appurtenances, to have and to hold to the said William Colvard, and his heirs 
and the s.d Benjamin Thacker doth Covenant with the s.d William Colvard that 
he s.d Benjamin Thacker and, his heirs will warrant the above mentioned parcel 
of Land with its Appurtenances to the s.d William Colvard &his heirs against 
all other persons whatsoever 
In Witness whereof the said Benjamin Thacker hath hereunto set his hand & Seal 
the day and Year above written
