This Indenture made this the ninth  Day of November in the year of our Lord 
one thousand Seven hundred & eighty Six  Between Frost and Snow and Elizabeth 
his Wife of the one part and Ephraim Simmons of the other part  each of 
Albemarle County 
Witnesseth that  the Said Frost & Snow & Elizabeth his Wife for and in 
Consideration of the Sum of  two hundred Pounds of Current and Lawful Money of 
Virginia to him in hand paid by the Said Ephriam Symmonds [sic] before the 
Sealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof the Said Frost & 
Snow and Elizabeth his Wife herby confesseth and acknowledge hath given 
granted Bargained Sold Released Confirmed and by these presents Doth give 
grant Bargain Sell and
