              This Indenture made this Twelth day of September in the Year of 
our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and ninety Three Between Benjamin Thacker 
and Martha his wife of the County of Albemarle of the one Part, and Nathaniel 
Thacker of the same County in the other part 
Witnesseth that the said Benjamin in Consideration of the sum of forty Pounds 
current money of Virginia to him in hand hath Given Granted bargained and sold 
to the said Nathaniel one Certain Parcel of land Containing by estamation one 
hundred acres more or less lying in the County aforesaid and bounded as 
follows to wit Begining at a chesnut oak in the said Benjamin's line 
thence on the same N 43° E 155 po. to a path 
thence along the said path 18 po.

thence N. 40°, E 101 po. to a black Oak 
thence N 85° W 87 po to a black oak 
N 68°, W 8 po to Pointers

S 23° W 50 po. to a Gumb bush [sic]

To the begining together with its Appurtenances.  To have and to hold the said 
Parcel of land with its Appurtenances to the said Nathaniel and his heirs and 
the said Benjamin and Martha doth covenant with the said Nathaniel and his 
heirs that they the said Benjamin and Martha their heirs Executors and Adm.rs 
the said parcel of land with its Appurtenances to the said Nathaniel and his 
heirs will for ever warrant and Defend 
In Witness whereof the said Benjamin and Martha have hereunto interchangeably 
set their hands and Seals the day and Year above Written
