James Monroe Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia to all to whom 
these presents shall Come greeting, Know Ye, that by virtue of a land office 
treasury Warrant Number Eighteen thousand and Sixty three issued the 
twenty fourth day of July One thousand seven hundred and eighty three, 
There is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Nathaniel Thacker a certain 
tract or parcel of land Containing Seventy two Acres, by Survey bearing date 
the twenty eighth day of March Eighteen hundred, lying and being in the County 
of Albemarle on the head waters of Moores Creek and bounded as followeth, 
to Wit, Beginning

Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the twenty second day of March in 
the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and two and of the ~
