Albemarle Co., VA George Covington to Dennis McCormick, 1759 Albemarle County Deed Book 2 THIS INDENTURE made the tenth day of May in the year of our Lord MDCCLIX Between GEORGE COVINGTON of the County of Cumberland of one part and DENNIS MCCORMICK of County of Albemarle. Witnesseth that George Covington for sum of five shillings to him paid doth sell Dennis McCormick and his heirs a tract of land containing fifty five acres more or less lyhing in the County of Albemarle and is bounded Southerley by Bear Garden Creek Westwardly by WALTER KING, NORTHWARDLY BY David Douglas, and Eastwardly BY Thomas Moss and is all that part of a tract of 2520 acres of land granted to the said George Covington by patent dated Sepr 5th 1749 which lies on the North side of Bear Garden Creek.
