ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VIRGINIA: DEED RECORDS – Jameson, 1765 ----¤¤¤---- Albemarle County, Virginia Deed Book 4 Pages 44 - 46 Jameson to Jameson This Indenter maid this Thirteenth Day of March in the year of our Lord on thousand seven Hundred & Sixty five Between John Jamason of Albemarle County on the one part & Samuel Jamason of the County aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Jamason for & in consideration of the Sum of Forty pounds currant Money of Virginia to him in hand paid before the Sealing & Delivering of these presants the Recept whereof he doth hereby acknow- ledg, & himself therewith fully satisfyed Contented & paid & thereof & every part & Parcell thereof doth hereby fully clearly & absolutely acquit & discharge him the said Samuel Jamason his Heirs Executors & Administrators Have Bargained, Sold, Aliened, Released & Conveyed & confirmed & by these presents do Bargain, Sell, Align, Enseoff Releases Convey & Confirm unto the said Samuel Jamason his Heirs & Assigns one certain tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in Albermarle County & on the North side of Moormans River & Bounded as Followeth, to wit Beginning at a gum of the River Bank Running thence North Sixteen Degrees West forty poles to a white oak Saplin & a large Red Oak North Fifty Degrees West two hundred & fifty six poles to a Red Oak, North Forty Degrees East one hundred & Sixty poles to a Hickory surrounded with pointers on the East Side of a small Mountain, south forty seven Degrees East four hundred & four poles to a pine on the River & thence up the same by the Meanders in a Straight line two hundred poles to the first Station: which said parcel or Tract of land above Bounded was granted unto the said John Jamason by patent bearing date the First Day of June one thousand seven hundred & forty one with all Buildings, Houses, Orchards, Wood, Ways, Waters, underwoods & Meadow grounds & all other Improvements and appurtenances hereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining & the reversion & Reversions, Remainder & Remainders, & all the Rents Issues & profits hereof & of every part & parcel thereof & all the Estate Right Title property, Claim or Demand of him the said John Jamason his Heirs & of in or unto the claim or any part or parcell thereof free & cleare of & from all former or other gifts grants bargains, Sales, Doners Judgments or other Encumbrance whatsoever, the Quitrents henceforth coming due to our Lord the King his Heirs & Successors only Excepted to Have & to hold the said parcel of Tract of land with all & singular the appurtenances unto the said Samuel Jamason his Heirs & assigns hath hereunto set his hand & seal the Day & year first above written signed , sealed & Delivered In the presence of us his Alexander Jamason, Nathan Woods John X Jamason James Wheary Thomas Jamason mark Memorandum That on the thirteen Day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & Sixty five Quiet & peaceable (????) & Seazion of the lands & premisses within mentioned was had & taken by the within named John Jamason & by him was Delivered unto the within named Samuel Jamason & his Heirs & Assigns forever In the presents of March the thirteen on thousand seven hundred & sixty five then received of Samuel Jamason the Sum of Forty pounds currant money being in full for the consideration Money for the Deed mentioned I say Received by me At Albemarle March Court 1765 This Indenture was proved by the oaths of Alexander Jamason, James Wheary, & Nathan Woods witnesses thereto & together with a Memorandum & receipt there on endorsed ordered to be Recorded Test Henry Fry C ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
