Bok 1795-98 pg 239 John EPPERSON is appointed Surveyor of the Road from a marked tree on EPPERSONS mountain to where it falls in with the Rockfish road at the Rock fish gap with the following male labouring Tythables to keep the same in repair to wit. The said John EPPERSON, Jesse WOODS and his tythables, the widow FOSTERS male tythables, James DURRET and his male tythables, the widow SNELLS male tythables, Philip SHOPE, John SHOPE, John TERRIL, James ROBERSTON, Zachiriah EMMERSON, Jacob SITZ, and Henry FOGUS. 3 April 1797 N. S. Ord Bok 1795-98 p 274 On the petition of Joseph EDMONDSON for leave to turn the road leading by his house from three hundred yards above his Shop, John WOOD, George TWYMAN JR, and John WATTS are appointed to view the said Road and report to this Court the conveniences and inconveniences that will attend the changing the same. 3 April 1797 N.S. Ord Bok 1795-98 p 275 Roger THOMPSON is appointed Surveyor of the roads of which William DALTON was formerly Surveyor with the following male labouring tytheables to wit William WOODS hands Stephen SANDRIDGE, Dillard SANDRIDGE, Absolem DAVIS, Isham DALTON, John WATSON, John WATSON JR, Thomas BALLARD, James BALLARD, John BALLARD, Robert KEEN, John KEEN, Robert DONLEY, George MOSBY, Zachariah GARRISON and his own male labouring tytheables to keep the same in report. 2 May 1814, Order book 1813-1815 , pg 339 On the Petition of William SCOTT for the view of a road from his house into the road running from the WOODSS to KINSOLVINGS smith shop John BROWN JR, William WOODS (S), Jesse P KEY, Elijah BROWN and Talton WOODSON or any three of them being first sworn are appointed to view the proposed road and make report thereof to this court. 2 May 1814, Order book 1813-1815 pg 339 On the motion of Henry GAULT for leave to change the road runing through his lands Robert SANGSTER, Hugh R. MORRIS, Isaac B. WOOD and John BOLLING or any three of them being first sworn are appointed to view the proposed change and make report thereof to this court. 2 May 1814, Order book 1813-1815 Pg 340 Russell JONES is appointed Surveyor of the road from Ann JOHNSONS old place to the fork of the road near Buck mountain creek in the room of John MCCLARY with the usual gang to keep the same in good repair. 6 June 1814 Order Book 1813-1815 p. 344 Thomas HARRIS JR is appointed surveyor of the road from Thomas MCCULLOCKS muster ground to the flat rock on the Bray in the room of James JARMAN with the usual gang to keep the same in good repair. 6 June 1814 Order Book 1813-1815 p. 344 On the Petition of John BURGER to change the road runing by his house John PIPER, William PIPER, John PATRICK, John TERRELL and Benjamin BURGER or any three of them being first sworn are appointed to view the proposed change and make report thereof to this court. 6 June 1814 Order Book 1813-1815 p. 345 On the Petition of John YEARGAIN for the view of a road from Daniel FARLEYS around the east side of the said YEARGAINS house into the town of Charlottesville, Joseph WINGLFIELD, Christopher WINGFIELD, Robert DAVIS, Joel HARRIS, James HARRIS or any three of them being first sworn are appointed to view the proposed change and make report thereof to this court.
