He was born April 3, 1764, and entered the service when he was 16 years of age, in October, 1780. He served two months under Lieutenant James Montgomery and Robert Wright. He served two months in 1781 under Captain James Pamphlin. He was reduced by disease and Major Harris applied for a furlough for him. Before he recovered the war was over.
