The bond for their marriage in Albemarle County gives Sarah's middle name as "Joseph." Based on this bounty land file, however, that portion of the bond appears to be a clerical error.] State of Virginia } ss Albemarle County } On this 20th day of Ocbr: AD one thousand eight hundred and fifty one personally appeared before me a Justice of the Peace within and for the county and State aforesaid Sarah J.
