She was the widow of Harry Wilson Baber. Born Jan. 27, 1897, in Batesville, she was the daughter of the late Alexandria and Alice Jamenson Craig. She is survived by six sons, Lawson Baber and Irvin Baber, both of Crozet, Buford Baber and James Baber, both of Charlottesville, Early Baber of Batesville and Clyde Baber of Spring Lake, N.C.; and three daughters, Mrs. Mitchell Herron and Mrs. Jean Hamilton, both of Portsmouth, and Mrs. Alvin Gentry of Scottsville. Other survivors are four brothers, Luther Craig and Bernard Craig of Schuyler, and Julius Craig and Frank Craig of Batesville; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Burton of Charlottesville and Mrs. Hattie Goolsby of Woodridge; 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hill & Irving Chapel, with burial in Wildrose Cemetery at Batesville.
