Baber Sr. Leonard William Baber Sr., 71, of 238 Roxbury Street, Clifton Forge, died Saturday in Alleghany Regional Hospital. Born in Clifton Forge, April 16, 1909, he was the son of the late William Jackson Baber and Mae Charlotte Pyanter Baber. He was a retired engineer for the Chessie System. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Doris Gleason Baber of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Mrs. James Eigner of Albany, Ore.; a son, Leonard William Baber Jr. of Clifton Forge. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Nicely Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Roy Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Alleghany Memorial Park. Family will be at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
