He was born Oct 9, 1927, in Batesville, son of Frank Leslie Baber and the late Edna Martin Baber. Mr. Baber retired from the University if Virginia Hospital after working at the Physical Plant for 17 years. He was a member of Mount Ed Baptist Church, Green Grove Masonic Lodge #102 in Conway, Ark., and the Scottish Rite of Little Rock, Ark. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Baber; three daughters, Mrs. Donna Johnson of Belton, Texas, Mrs. Jean Marshall of Vienna and Mary Jane Baber of Florence, S. C.; two sons, Jack Baber of Batesville and Jimmy Baber of Crozet; three brothers, Elmo Baber of Lake of the Woods, Guy Baber of Alexandria, and Mason Baber of Portland, Conn. and five grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Wednesday 2 p.m. at the Holly Memorial Gardens, Charlottesville with Masonic Rights. Dr. Roy Thomas will officiate.
