Albemarle County: This day Jos. (Fulcher) personally appeared before me and 
made oath that Diana Kinsolving is at this time of the age of twenty one years 
and upward. Written in my hand this 6th November 1810. John Watson
To the Clerk of Albemarle COunty - you are hereby authorized and .... to 
solemnize a marriage between Clifton Garland Jr. and myself. Given under my 
hand this 5th day of November 1810. Diana Kinsolving. Seal.

Know all Men by these presents, That we Clifton Garland Jr. and Clifton 
Garland Sr and ?? Garland, are held and firmly bound unto John Tyler Esquire, 
Governor of the commonwealth of Virginia in the Sum of one hundred and fifty 
dollars, to the payment whereof well and truly to be made to the said John 
Tyer or his successors in office for the use of the commonwealth, we bind 
ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, 
firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated the 6th day of 
November 1810.
The condition of this obligation is, that if there is no lawful cause to 
obstruct a marriage intended shortly to be had and solemnised between Clifton 
Garland and Diana Kinsolvings then this obligation to be void, or else to 
remain in full force, power and virture.

Additional Comments:
The third Garland participating in the bond is impossible to decipher. It is 
just an initial.
The note from Diana Kinsolving to the clerk is a beautiful little piece in her 
own feminine handwriting. She makes a sweet little flower for the seal beside 
her signature.
