Know all men by these presents that we, Wiley Harris & Samuel
Jamerson are held and firmly bound unto James Wood
esq.. Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia & to 
his successors in office in the just sum of one hundred
and fifty Dollars to which payment well and truly 
to be made to the said James Woos and his successors in
office.  We bind ourselves, our just and several heirs and
executors & heirs firmly by these presents sealed with
our seals and dated this 20th day of December 1799.

The consideration of the above obligation is such that
whereas there is a marriage suddenly intended to be had
and solemnized between the above bound Wiley 
Harris & Betsey Jamerson now if there shall be no lawful
cause or impediment to obstruct the said marriage
then the above obligation to be void else to remain in
full form and virtue.                     his
