The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net ************************************************************************** Albemarle County, Virginia Will Book, page 112 & 113 Jane Jameson will In the Name of God, amen I Jane Jamerson of the County of Albemarle, and State of Virginia being old and sick in years, and after burdened with bodily infirmities and sickness though through the mercy of almighty God, and at present in my common state of health and sound Judgment and memory thanks be to his holy name for the same, and reflecting on the mortality of all flesh will knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will & Testament in manner and form following Towit First and above all other things I commend my soul to the mercy of God (the giver thereof) through the merits of Jesus Christ our Lord, and my body I give unto the Earth (from whence it came) therein to interred in a decent Christian manner, at the discretion of my Executor, hereafter to be named and on touching The worldly goods whosowith it hath pleased God in his providence to endow me (though little far above what I a sinner had a right either to desire or expect) my Just Debts being first duly paid out of the same, I dispose of them as follows. - Item I give and bequethe unto my son Alexander Jamerson the sum of one Dollar. - Item I give and bequethe unto my son Thomas Jamerson the sum of one Dollar. - Item I give and bequethe unto my son John Jamerson the sum of one Dollar. - Item I give and bequeath unto my son Samuel Jamerson all the residue or remaining part of my Estate of whatever denomination. And I do hereby constitute and appoint my sons Alexander Jamerson and Samuel Jamerson and my nephew Robert McCullock Executors of this my said will, revoking and disannulling all other and former will or wills by me heretofore made, do acknowledge, and leave to this the world as my only Last Will and Testament, As Witness whereof I hereto have wet my hand and affixed my seal, this 11th day of December one thousand seven hundred and ninety six.
