Albemarle Co., VA Will of Richard Shiflett 1827 In the name of God Amen, I Richard Shiflett of the County of Albemarle & State of Va. being of sound mind and memory do make and order this my last will and testament, in manner and form as follows. First my will is that all my just debts if any be paid, second I lend to my wife during her life all my estate for her support, and at her death my will is that all my estate lent, except the land, shall be equally divided amongst my two sons Nathaniel & William and my son Blan Shiflett's widow or or the representatives. I give to my son John Shiflett fifty-four dollars which he now owes me as his full proportions of my estate. I give to my son Nathaniel Shiflett, his heirs, assigns, after the death of his mother all my landed estate. I do constitute and appoint my son Nathaniel executor of this my last will.
