All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** Albemarle County Virginia USGenWeb Archives Wills and Estates Nathaniel THACKER, will, 2 Aug 1838 (3 Sep 1838) [margin note] Thacker {Will Nathaniel In the name of God amen I Nathanial Thacker of the County of Albemarle and State of Virginia being weak in body but of a strong mind and memory do constitute this my last will and testament revoking all former wills here to fore made by me first I recommend my soul to god who gave it me and my body to mother dust to be buried in a decent manner though this I say[?] discretionary with my friends, and as follows such worldly affairs as it has pleased god to intrust my [sic] with I dispose of in the following manner to wit first my will is that all my just debts be paid and futher my will is that my land be sold as soon after my death as it lawfully can be done, and also all my personal property on credit of twelve months and the Money arising therefrom to be divided among the following persons in the following manner to wit, Aramenter Thacker the daughter of my daughter Susan to have ten dollars Martin Thacker my son to have twenty dollars Abigail Thacker my daughter to have twenty dollars Susan Thacker my daughter to have twenty dollars Mary Thacker my daughter to have twenty dollars Nancy ["Thack" struck; "Moore" inserted] who maried John Moore to have twenty dollars and all the balance of ["my" overwritten "the"] proceeds of my property I leave to my son Benjamin Thacker be it what may and I do hereby appoint Jeames E Mayo Prior woodson and Robert wheeler executors of this my last will and Testament in Witness where of I have here under Set my hand and seal this 2.nd day of August 1838 In the presence of Nathan G.
