Ha Executor of the Estate of Samuel W. Anderson Dec’d. and on an examination of the said accounts we find the Credits to be correctly entered and the debits supported by vouchers by reference to the foregoing account it will be seen that after all the cha es against the Estate of the said Anderson dec’d. have been laid off by the said Samuel L. Hart Executor there remains in the hands of the said Executor four thousand three hundred and ninety nine dolars and eighteen cents which sum your Commissioners h e divided amongst the Legatees of said Anderson dec’d according their respective claims agreeably to statement which accompanies this report your commissioners also find in the hands of the said Executor a bond executed by Wilson C. Nicholas to Samuel L hart for the benefit of the Legatees of said Samuel W. Anderson dec’d for four hundred and forty four dollars & forty four cents due 22nd Sept. 1819 which bond remains in the hands of the said Samuel L. hart to be by him collected and by him to be accou ed for to the Legatees of said Anderson Dec’d when collected. Anderson dec’d., John Long who married Susanna Anderson and Jane Anderson according to the last will and testament of the said Anderson dec’d. is entitled to the whole f the proceeds of the sale of that tract of Land on which the said Anderson lived and died which proceeds amounted to two thousand two hundred and sixty Dollars which is a part of the asets found in the hands of the executor which will be seen by refera e to his account which sum is equally divided between the said John Long and Jane Anderson. The foregoing statement exhibits the amount of assets found in the hands of Samuel L. Hart Executor of Samuel W. Anderson dec’d together with the division there amongst the respective Legatees Given under our hands this 8th day of December 1820. We the undersigned in obedience to an order from the court of Albemarle County bearing date the 5th day of Jany 1824 requiring us to settle the accounts of Elizabeth Burgher Admr of Benj Burgher Decd and divide the real and personal estate of the sd. Burgher Decd among the parties legally entitled thereto have this 2th day of Jany 1824 [sic] proceeded as for us was practicable Viz First in laying of to the widow Elizabeth Burgher her right of dower in the land that is one Third or 213 acres including the mansion house orchard and will more fully appear from the annexed plat Secontly the negroes we have divided and given to the widow as her half the following ones Viz negro woman Winny negro woman Rhoda and her two youngest children Lucy and Jerry. negro boy Jim negro man Siman negro man Jim and negro man Billy which negroes amounts to $67.50 more than her proper share which sum of $67.50 cts she is to pay on account for to the original legatees Viz negro girls Sophia and Malinda to the Heirs of John Burgher Decd they are to receive with the sd two negroes the sum of $15.4-1/2_ negro man David we have allotted to the heirs of David Burgher Decd they paying Back $119.58-1/2 negro man Harry we have allotted to the heirs of Rich. Dollins Decd they are to receive with sd negro $30.41-1/2 negro woman Betty and girl Peachy we have allotted to Charity Hays she is to receive with sd negroes 60.41-1/2 negro woman Sarah and child Thrusten we have allotted to Joseph Burgher he is to Receive with sd negroes 09.41-1/2 negro man Stephen we have allotted to Nicholas Burgher he paying back $9.58-1/2 Fourthly we have subdivided the negroes allotted to the heirs of Jno. Burgher decd Viz Sally Speice negro girl sophia & to Elizabeth Hays wife of Sam Hays negro girl Malinda Elizabeth Hays is to receive with sd girl Malinda the $15.4172 [sic] due from the estate of Benj Burgher to the heirs of Jno Burgher and sally speice is to pay out of her own funds to the sd Elizabeth Hays $4.7974 [sic] The subdivision of the other five lottes of negroes we consider is not practicable The undersigned considered it as their duty to have went into a settlement of the accounts of the said Admr But from this are precluded as no papers to that object was laid before them_ Given under our hands the day and year aforesaid Thomas Martin John Bilson Jos Cofman [Then follows a diagram giving the meets and bounds of Elizabeth's dower.
