She was granted a life estate and on her death it was to be divided equally among the children., Fendol C, Thurman, Elisha H. Thurmond, Susannah Rothwell, Polly Gentry, Anna Carr, and Sally Sandridge. The will mentions that he had previously given to each of his children a small tract of land on which homes had been built and on which each were then living. All were married when the will was written . His sons, Elisha H. Thurman and Fendal C. Thurmond were named executors of his estate.
