Alleghany County DESCRIPTION: In the gap on Peters Mountain near his pioneer home, is the lone grave of Abraham Huddleston. It is enclosed by a wall with an apple tree overhanging. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Abraham Huddleston was an early pioneer who came before the formation of Alleghany County. He was an outstanding figure in the pioneer days.
