From Covington, take Route $60 to intersection with Route #619; thence to intersection with Route #616; thence to intersection with Route #617; thence 3 miles on north of highway above Harrison Jamison’s home. Alleghany County OWNERS: In 18__ Charles King and wife, Jane, convey to Abraham H. Wolf, 121 acres in Rich Patch, on waters of Blue Spring Run, adjoining the lands of James Reynolds’ heirs, and Arrington. 1870, Abraham Wolf willed “all my messuages, lands, tenements and hereditament whatsoever, situated, lying and being in Alle. Co. with their appertanances to wife Jane while she remains my widow. If a child is born from our marriage to Jane Wolf my wife, the above real and personal estate after death of Jane Wolf. Will to brother George W. Wolf, a riding saddle, to William Arrington my wagons and harness, to Isaac Wolf, the son of Jacob (the miller) a three year horse, to sister Eliza R. Arrington, a kitchen cupboard and table” 1907 George A. Rivercomb, Spl. Commissioner appointed by the Circuit Court of Alleghany County, in chancery cause of Cora F. Wilson vs. P. Jamison, sold and conveyed the farm of Ollie Isabelle Jamison, a daughter of Abraham and Jane Wolf, to Lucy B. Craft, containing 121 acres in Rich Patch, same conveyed to O.I. Jamison by Abraham Wolf (by will) her father. Deed Book 39, p. 585 1916 Lucy B. Craft and George F. Craft, her husband, grant and convey to L.I. Terry, 121 acres in Rich Patch, same Lucy B. Craft purchased from George A. Rivercomb Special Commissioner. Deed Book 46, p. 177 1920 L.I. Terry and Julia A. Terry his wife, sell and convey to H.L. Jamison and wife, Bertha, 121 acres in Rich Patch. DESCRIPTION: Abraham Wolf was a brother to Isaac Wolf, who lived in Rich Patch and is buried in Wolf-Arrington cemetery, which is 2 miles or more to the west of Rich Patch. Abraham Wolf was a good citizen and a prosperous farmer. He married three times: Susie Saphfire; Mary Arrington; and Jane Arrington. He attended church at the Simmons School House, about 1 mile east and down the mountain. Rev. Boon, a Methodist, preached there and afterwards, George Jamison. Nearby this spot Jacob Persinger and his wife, were captured by the Indians. The following are buried in this cemetery: Abraham Wolf, Died 1869 Aged about 40 years Susie Wolf his wife Died 1861 Aged about 40 years John Brown, Died 1875 Aged about 80 years Mrs. Harriett Huffman Daughter of Eliz. Terry Died 1900 Aged about 40 years The above are without tombstones. Joseph W. Persinger Co. A. Va. Inf. C.S.A. died 1917 Aged about 70 years He took his mother’s name which was Charlotte Persinger before her marriage. He married Sarah Terry who is buried in Jamison-Simmons Cemetery.
