John COWLES, late of Charles City, devised by deed to William CLAIBORNE 1,000 ac in Amelia on Winticomake Crk, also Negroes George, Andrew, George, Fanny, Easter, Patt, Daniel, Hannah, Bett, Dorcas, Battis, Fanny, Amey , Old Bess, also 20 head of cattle, sheep and hogs to hold to said CLAIBORNE and his survivors subject to yearly rent.
