Thomas. Wit. Richard Manning, Silvanus Maxey, & Daniel (x) Thomas, Sr. 175
acres S/S Appomattox River, bounded in part by the old place onbrink of
River just above mouth of small branch and another on brink of Sandy Creek,
being a pat. to sd. John Radford d. Aug 21, 1734,. Possession obtained by
Daniel Thomas in presence of Richard Manning & Silvanus Maxey on Aug. 4,
1738. Deed ackn. by John Radford & ordered rec. at Court held Aug. 11,

pounds.  Wit:  Richard Ward & Elizabeth Basset. 87 acres.  S/S Appomattox
River & B/S Sandy Creek

Deed:  Gedion Thomas to Phillip Thomas. Amelia DB #3 p. 305  

Consideration 10 lbs. 100 acres, adjacent mouth of Sandy Creek, a dividing
line & the river.  Posession obtained by Philip Thomas 1749. Deed ordered
rec. on Nov. 17, 1749 after Ann, wife of Gideon Thomas, reliquished her
right of dower.

Deed:  John Thomas to Gideon Thomas Amelia DB #7, p. 47

John Thomas to Gideon Thomas, his son of same, d. Apr. 23, 1761. consid.
Natural love & affection. 50 acres in Amelia Co., B/S Sandy Creek, the
tract where John Thomas now lives being same land patented to John Radford
on August 1, 1734.  Land is adj. line of Chapman, the old field, the river
[creek] lowgrounds, & Pollard's line with all houses etc.  Wits. John
Wright, Thomas Wright.

Deed: John Thomas & Gideon Thomas to John Wayles of Charles City County 
Amelia Co., DB #8, p. 88

John (X) Thomas and Gideon (X) Thomas of Amelia County to John Wayles of
Charles City County d. December 9, 1762.  Consid. 178/154/0. 175 acres in
Amelia Co., S/S Appomattox River as per bounds Thomas, father of said John
Thomas, being the plantation where said John and Gideon Thomas now dwell. 
Witnesses:  Henry Macon, Dudley Rountree, and John Auston.  Deed ack. and
ordered Feb. 24, 1763 after Elizabeth & Hannah, wives of John Thomas and
Gideon Thomas relinquished rights of dower.
