I do certifie that Thomas Hightower was in the military under my Command.  Given 
under my hand.  C. Goode  December 23 1787.

Contributor's Note:   Most documents in parts, but transcriber could read that 
Hightower was about 37 years old, and received wounds in the head.  Given an 
allowance of 12 pounds yearly; certified by Edmund Randolph, Governor in 1787. 
Last payment recorded in Jan. 1791.
