First my Will and desire is that my Negro woman Jenny which was devised to me by my husband, Christopher Ford, dec'd be sold and out of the money arising from the sale of my said Negro, I bequeath to my Daughter Lucy Ford five pounds and to my daughter Ann Ford Five pounds and to my Daughter Betty five pounds and to Sally Jesse one pound and the overplus of the money arising from the said sale I desire that my Executors may purchase a young Negro which I lend to my son Lewis Ford during his natural life and -------representatives forever. And Lastly I appoint my sons Samuel and Waller Ford Executors of this my last Will and Testament. As witness my hand and Seal this sixth day of July 1790. Lucy Ford (SEAL) Signed, Sealed and acknowledged In presence of Saml Ford Waller Ford In Amelia County Court 26 December 1816 This last will and Testament of Lucy Ford , dec'd was entered into Court and proven by the oath of Samuel Ford one of the subscribing witnesses thereto and Thomas Price? being sworn says that he is well acquainted with the hand writing of Waller Ford, the other subscribing witness and that he believes it to be the hand writing of said Waller Ford hereafter said.
