Amelia County, VA Will Thomas Tucker, 1800 Will Book #6, 1799-1803, Amelia County p. 114-115 Will proved 26 June 1800 p. 128-130 Inventory & Appraisal Recorded 25 Sept 1800 June 26th 1800 In the name of God Amen. I Thomas Tucker of Amelia County do make this my last will and Testament. Item. I give my Daughter Rebeccah Roberds one cow and calf to her and her heirs for ever. Item. I give unto my son Nelson Tucker the Tract of Land lying the upper side of Tuckers branch which he hath now in possession also one feather bed also one black horse and three head of Cattle and fore head of Hogs and sum puter which he hath all in possession to him and his heirs as to his children if his wife should have any by him and if she doth not have any by him I desire what I have given him after his death to be equally divided among the rest of my children to them and their heirs forever. Item. I give unto my daughter Tobey (?) Tucker one bed and a cow and calf and a Heaffer and Chisl to her and the heirs of her body forever and a fore gallon pot to her and her heirs also. Item. I give unto my son Thomas Tucker the Tract of land where I now live on and one Negro man name Bob and all the remains of my other estate that hath not been mentioned after my debts is paid to him and his heirs and assigns forever by paying of Nelson Tucker his brother Fifteen pounds and by paying my wife Mary Tucker a bond with security that he will oblige himself to furnish her with a home and a surficient suport during her life, or widowhood. Lastly I do appoint my friends Jesse Clay and John Eppes my Executors to this my last will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventh day of December one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine. Item. I desire that my Estate be not appraised. Who entered into and Acknowledged Bond with Jesse Clay security in the penalty of One thousand dollars certificate is granted him for obtaining a probat thereof in due form.
