Walters Will of Frederick Ford Amelia County Will Book 2, page 271 In the Name of God, Amen, I Frederick Ford of Amelia County being low in Health but in perfect mind & memory, thanks be unto God for the same, but Calling to mind the Mortality of my body and Knowing that it is Appointed for all men Once to die, do make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament and first I recommend my Soul unto the hands of God that gave it, my body to the Earth to be buried in a decent manner by my Executors whom I shall herby appoint and as - such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with. I give, devise and dispose of in Manner and form as followth: That is to say in the first Place Item the first, I give and bequeath to my beloved Sarah Ford all my Personal Estate after paying all Just Debts during her Life and her Saddle to dispose of as she thinks Proper.
