WILL OF SAMUEL CHAPMAN
AMELIA COUNTY, VIRGINIA
WILL BOOK 20, PAGE 380
22 APRIL 1872

Know all men by these presents that I Samuel Chapman of the County of Amelia and State 
of Virginia being of sound mind; doth make this my last will and testament, this 22 day 
of April in the year of our lord one thousand, eight hundred and seventy-two; "viz." at 
my death I wish my just debts to be paid; I then give unto my beloved wife Charlotte H. 
Chapman, all my entire est. both real and personal; in fee simple; and desiring her to 
act as my executrix; in the management and control of my est. just as I would, myself, if 
living; I wish no security required of her, and desire the foregoing writing to be accorded 
as witness my hand and seal this day above written in the presents of.
