Will of John Wingo Recorded 22 Nov 1821 Amelia County, Virginia Will Book No. I, John Wingo D. J. of Amelia County and state of Virginia hereby make my last will and testament in the manner and form following that is to say 1st I desire that every thing that is real hereafter will away by me in this will to be sold to the highest bidder and a credit of twelve months immediately after my decease and out of the monies arising there from all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid and should there be any money left after paying my debts and above mentioned I desire it should be equally divided among my children as followeth. Fielding Wingo , Allen Wingo, Williamson Wingo, Elizabeth C. Wingo, and Peggy R. Wingo. 2nd I give to my son Fielding Wingo one Negro man named Ben to him and his heirs forever. 3rd My son Allen Wingo I have before this my last will and testament was wrote given unto him and his heirs forever his full portion of my estate. 4th I give to my son Williamson Wingo one Negro lad named Coleman and bed and furniture and one to him and his heirs forever. 5th I give to my daughter Elizabeth C. Wingo one Negroes lad named Ned and bed and furniture and any to her and her heirs forever. 6th I give to my daughter Peggy R. Wingo two Negroes to wit one Negro woman named Rachel and one Negro boy named Miles, one bed and furniture and one to her and her heirs forever. 7th I give to my son Williamson Wingo and my daughter Elizabeth C. Wingo the track or parcel of land I now live on containing two hundred and sixty acres more or less to be equally divided between the two to them and their heirs forever. 8th A Negro woman named Milley not mentioned in this my last will and testament. It is my will that she has the liberty of living with any of my children that she thinks proper in the habit of a slave. And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my friends Samuel Ford and Peter D. Lubtell (?) executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other and former wills or testaments by me heretofore made. Signed John Wingo Deff.
