Hall/Hyman Letter, 1891 - Amherst Co. VA & Loudon Co. VA EXTRACT COPY OF LETTER DATED 3 JUN 1891 FROM CHARLES HALL, BROTHER OF JAMES E. HALL, TO REV. SAM HYMAN Lynchburg Virginia June 3rd 1891 My Dear Cousin, .... Cousin, I don't know why it is but it has always been a puzzle to me why Grand father should go all the way to Amherst C.H. when he started to go for this money, and then turn back. It seem's (sic) to me that he must have had some motive in going just that distance and then to turn back. It has often occurred to me that he went there to put those papers or letter in a place of safety .... I have tried to find out the name of Grand fathers Aunt but no one can tell me anything about her. His Uncles name was John Friar .... Your Cousin Submitted by Kenneth W.
