Lynchburg Virginia 
Sept 27th 1891

My Dear Cousin Sam,
.... Now when Grandfather was a little boy about five years old his 
mother died in Alexandria -- Fairfax Co. -- Va .... Grandpa's Mothers name 
was Friar or Fryer I don't know how the name is spelled Some of his 
relatives were named Moon. I think his Grandmother was a Moon ....
