AMHERST - William Fred Maddox, 56, died Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at his 
residence. He was the husband of Mary Rogers Maddox. 
	Born Feb. 16, 1946 in Amherst County, he was a son of Susie Mays Maddox of 
Amherst and the late James Preston Maddox. He was the owner of F&K 
Construction and an Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. 
	In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Kenneth Alan 
Maddox and wife, Jennifer of Amherst; a special grandson raised like a son, 
Kenneth Matthew Inscoe of Amherst; a step-son, Dennis L. Inscoe and wife, 
Peggy of Amherst; a daughter, Tammy Lynn Maddox of Falls Church; two 
brothers, Donnie M. Maddox of Amherst and Lewis P. Maddox and wife, Valerie 
of Alexandria; five grandchildren, Hope, Kate and Krystal Maddox and Dillon 
and Jamie Inscoe. 
	He was preceded in death by a brother, James Richard Maddox and a sister, 
Dorothy Maddox. 
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2002 at 
Driskill Funeral Chapel with Dr. Michael R. Fitzgerald officiating. Burial 
will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with military rites by the American 
Legion Post #16 of Lynchburg. 
	The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Driskill Funeral 
Chapel.
