MARRIAGE BOND	

Know all men by these presents that we John McAlexander and Saml. McAlexander 
are held & firmly Bound unto the Commonwealth of Virga. in the Sum of fifty 
pounds Current money of Virga. To which payment will and truly to be made to
the sd. Commonwealth we Bind ourselves Each of our Heirs Exors. and Admtors.
Jointly & Severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals and Dated
this 25 Day of March 1780 & In the fourth year of our Commonwealth.

The Condition of the above Obligation is Such that Whereas there is a 
Mariage Shortly Intended to be Solemnized Between the above Bound John 
McAlexander Batchelor & Agness Burnett Spinster, If there be no Lawful Cause
to obstruct the sd. Marriage Then the above Obligation to be Void & of no 
Effect, or Else to Remain in full force.
