Holland] Enumerators used booklets with sheets A & B, repeating. Each sheet was numbered consecutively by the enumerators i.e. 1A 1B, 2A, 2B, etc. A sheets were stamped with bold numbers after the Census Bureau took the census. A sheets are the stamped B pages. In 1930 Appomattox County was enumerated in 8 districts, 2 for each Magisterial Districts (3) and the towns of Pamplin and Apppomattox. Each page is filled in to indicate the state, county, Magisterial District, Supervisor's District #, enumeration District #, sheet #, name of the enumerator and date of enumeration. The county was in supervisor's district No. 11 and included enumeration districts 6-1 through 6-8. In most cases, if the value of real estate or rental values were recorded, they were later erased from the records. District 6-1, Pamplin Town Sheets 1A-3 B, Stamped pages 1B -4A.
