The Washington Herald, October 10, 1910
A coroner's jury, summoned by Dr. Ashton, of Alexandria County, met this morning
at Demaine's undertaking establishment, and after viewing the body of Deputy
United States Marshal William Duncan, who was killed at the Potomac railroad
yards last night after being struck by a freight train, adjourned over without
taking any testimony, subject to the call of the coroner. 

The jury is composed of G. W. Zachary, R. W. Zachary, W. T. Gary, John Gary, R.
H. Roberts, and H. H. Powell. The body was afterward taken to the Duncan home in
Del Ray, Alexandria County, and prepared for burial. The funeral will take place
Tuesday afternoon.
