Herndon Cemetery Location: On the Pollard farm, about 1 mile east of Jennings Gap, Virginia, on Route #250 Augusta County This plot is kept in very good condition. It is on the top of a hill, about a quarter of a mile from the road and is reached by the lane which leads to the Pollard Home. It is sometimes called the Eyster Graveyard. That may be because the Eyster farm is close by. No stone bears the name of Eyster. The earliest stone bears the date 1837. There are several river stones and some fallen stones have been reset. There are about twenty graves, including some recent burials, but only four prior to 1860.
