P. Wilson will hold said grave yard in trust for the Church." There are now many unmarked graves. In the early days many graves were marked with locust slabs, and some can be found at this time (1952) throughout the cemetery, but the writing has completely disappeared. Between the dates of June 15, 1952 and September 18, 1952, both McClanahans monuments had been taken away. Arthur Connelly and his wife Sarah, and Alexander Walker's graves had stones, they are now missing. (1952) Robert Kenney, Captain in the Rev. War, Thomas Poage in the Rev. War, and James Wilson of the War of 1812, are buried in this cemetery, but their graves are not now marked. (1952) Most of the slaves that belong to the McCues and William Wilson's families are buried in this cemetery, some of the slaves surname was Fractions, no markers. A complete record was made of the remaining stones in this cemetery on Sept. 18th and 19th, 1952, by a descendant of William Wilson, and consolidated with partial list made at various times in previous years. ___________________________________________________________________________ Revolutionary Soldiers Buried in the Oldest Cemetery at Ft.
