Herndon Cemetery Location: On the Sites farm, about .5 mile south of New Hope, on the New Hope road. Augusta County This plot is in bad condition. Cattle, sheep and groundhogs have knocked down and broken most of the stones, and there are huge holes where the groundhogs have burrowed. There is a sparce growth of aspen trees and the surrounding fence is in a very dilapidated condition. Some of the stones appear to have been very beautiful when erected. There are large river slabs here also. The earliest date is 1834 and the latest is 1853. In Memory of John B.
