Pizgah graveyard: 1936 Aug. 13 Research made by Scioto M. Herndon Cemetery Location: At the junction of Routes #620 and #742 about 8 miles northwest of Staunton. Augusta County This is not a large plot nor very well kept. There are a number of fallen stones and sunken graves and in places a deep growth of vines and myrtle. Burials are still being made here. The earliest date is 1851 and many of the epitaphs are scratched on river rock. Spelling here is also interesting.
