Herndon Cemetery Location: At the junction of Routes #613 and #667, about 18 miles southwest of Staunton, Va., and 1.5 miles from Route #11. Augusta County Old Providence Graveyard is situated across the road, south, from Old Providence Church and is the property of the church. Most of the graves here are dated since 1860. It is a fairly well kept plot, few weeds, no briars, and is surrounded by a fence. There are a number of river stones and wooden markers.
