Herndon Cemetery Location: 1 mile north of Weyer’s cave, on Route #620 Augusta County This is a community plot, in rather good condition, although many stones have fallen and some graves are sunken as well as unmarked. It is a fairly large graveyard but only eight graves remain of those marked before 1860. There are a number of unmarked riverstones. The earliest date is 1852. There is a veteran of the War Between the States buried here and there are many late interments. Cornelia V. Daughter of E. & F.H.
