Fishburn Beneath this stone rest her slumbering dust and near her is interred the bodies of three infants two sons and a daughter Her virtues as a wife and mother are too deeply engraved in the heart of her bereaved husband, who placed it here to need an inscription on this marble. After many months of wasting disease through which she stayed herself upon the mighty God of Jacob demonstrating by a patient, humble, serene frame of mind her resignation to His will She died on the 11th Novr. 1838 aged 31 years 1 month and 22 days The once lov’d form now cold and dead Each mournful thought employ And nature weeps her comforts fled And withered all her Joys But wait the interclosing gloom And Lo! stern winter flies And dressed in beauty’s bloom The flowery ___ arise Hope looks beyond the bonds of time When what we now deplore Shall rise in full immortal prime And bloom to fade no more.
