McCambridge his wife of Basic City Va parties of the first part and Addison W. Thompson and Catharine J. Thompson his wife of Stuarts Draft Augusta Co Va parties of the second part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars (200.00) cash in hand paid by the parties of the second part unto the parties of the first part the receipt where of is here by acknowledged. The said parties of the first part have this day bargained sold and conveyed with special warranty of the title until the parties of the second part a certain lot or parcel of land with all appurtenances them to situated about three miles S. E. of Stuarts Draft Augusta CO VA on the NE side of the Howardsville Turnpike containing 20 A 1 rod and 30 poles adjoining the lands of J N Hunter and others and bounded as follows beginning at a point in the middle of the Howardsville Turnpike corner to Rankin (near where the Rankin School house stand) thence with his line N. 0/21 (NOTE: 0 and a line were over top of the 21) E. 61-1/2 poles to a stone on Hunters line and with the same S. 0/58-1/2 (NOTE: 0 and a line were over top of 58 with 1/2 beside it.) E. about 66 poles to a white oak tree corner with the fence. Thence S. 0/31 (NOTE: 0 and a line were over top of 31.) W. 54-1/2 poles to a point in the middle of the Turnpike to the beginning for further description see Deed Book No. 139 Page 390 of the clerks office of Augusta Co Va.Witness the following signatures and seal this the day and date first above written.
