(French And Indian War) Augusta County Buncombe Co Nc 1787-1806 I do, with the advice of council, hereby certify that John Burton, aged about 46 years , late a private in the 1st Virginia Regiment in the year 1760, was disabled in service, by a wound in the back, and he is allowed the sum of ten pounds yearly, to commence on the first day of January 1786. Given under my hand as Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, at Richmond this 13th day of November 1786. Edm: Randolph Copy teste: T.
