Robertson 417 East 12th Street Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Sir: I have to advise you that from the papers in the Revolutionary War pension claim S-17055 it appears that James Robertson was born in Augusta County, Virginia, November 16, 1751. While residing in that county he enlisted September 1, 1777 and served three months as a private in Captain George Moffett's Company, Colonel Huggart's Virginia Regiment. He enlisted and served, date not stated, three months, in Captain Thomas Smith's Virginia Company. He enlisted in the summer of 1781 and served three months in Captain John Given and Captain Charles Cameron's Companies, Colonel William Bowyer's Virginia Regiment and was in a skirmish near Jamestown, Virginia. He was allowed pension on his application executed August 28, 1833 while residing in Augusta County, Virginia. There is no data on file as to family. Respectfully, Wilder S.
