Ryan, John                     Pen. 367                       1785-1787   
Colonel Hazen's (Continental) Regiment  
Berkeley County-Augusta County

I do with the advice of Council hereby certify that John Ryan, aged  about 24 
years, late a private in Hazen's Regiment whose pay as at the rate of 24 pounds 
per annum was disabled while in the service of the United States by a musket 
ball in his left leg fracturing his the bone,  and that he is allowed the sum of 
twelve pounds yearly, to commence from the first day of January 1786.  Given 
under my hand as Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, at Richmond, this 
12th day of June 1787.
