Lambert Charles Cecil Lambert, 68, of 606 Spottswood Road, died at 1:15 Monday morning (May 16, 1966) in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Richmond, where he had been a patient since May 2. A Native of Waynesboro, he was born Dec. 16, 1897, a son of the late Charles L. and Elsie (Landes) Lambert. He was employed by Erwin Motor Co. Mr. Lambert was a member of Post 2216, Veterans of Foreign Wars, having served over seas with the Army during World War 1. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are his widow Mrs. Grace (Gregory) Lambert: two sons, John B. of Los Angeles and William G. Lambert of Seaside, Calif. ; three daughters Mrs. Mary Kennelly, Mrs. Kathryn L. Brown both of Richmond, and Mrs. Sherry L. Simantel of Staunton; one brother; Hallie R. Lambert of Waynesboro: three sisters, Mrs. Mary Baker, Mrs. Margaret Hulvey and Mrs. Annie Martin all of Waynesboro; also 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild. A funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o clock in th memorial chapel of the Fred Henry Funeral Home. The service will be conducted by his pastor Dr. R. Carrington Paulette, and the Rev. Paul E. Trifpey, pastor of the Beverley Street Methodist Church. Burial will be in Thornrose Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jimmy L. Greene, Theodore W. Swink, Rex Spiece, George B. Harris Jr., Hensel A. Wiseman Jr., William G. Jordan and Bobby Alfred. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2216 who will conduct the rites at the grave.
