Lambert, died Wednesday (May 3 1967) at 7 a.m. in Kings Daughters Hospital where she had been a patient 3 1/2 weeks. A native of Augusta County, she was born March 24, 1893, the daughter of the late John William and Mary Elizabeth (Gladwell) Gregory. Mrs. Lambert was a member of Beverley Street Methodist Chruch and the auxilary of Augusta Staunton Post 2216 Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was survived by two sons John B. of Los Angeles, Calif. and William G. Lambert of Seaside, Calif., three daughters Mrs. Mary Kennelly of Planover, Mrs. Kathryn L. Brown of Richmond and Mrs. Sherry Simantel, with whom she made her home in Staunton. Two brothers Clyde and Will Gregory, both of Baltimore, also 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Friday afternoon a 2 o clock in the chapel of the Fred Henry Funeral Home. The service will be conducted by the Rev. W. C. Jameson and the Rev. F. Wellford Hobbie...Burial will be in Thornrose Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Hensel A. Wiseman Jr., Robert Rohrer, James L. Gibson, Chester Deuel, Wilson A. Camden Jr. and C. C. Farrar Honorary pallbearers will be H. Grady Erwin, Dr. Glenn C. Campbell, Charles H. Homan, J. Earl Jones, Harry R. Elkins Jr. and Ralston Silling. Members of the Augusta-Staunton auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct a short service at the Fred Henry Funeral Home tonight at 7:30. Friends will be received at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Simantel, 606 Spottwood Road.
